This Privacy Policy explains how Creditary Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use the Yabberoo language learning application. By using Yabberoo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide a personalized language learning experience. Based on your usage, this includes:
- Account and profile information including email address, display name, native language, target language, and proficiency.
- Text transcripts of your conversations with our AI. We do not record, save, or store your raw audio files.
- AI-generated memories, session data, and flashcards created from your conversations to track your learning progress, vocabulary, and conversational context.
- Standard device and session data including device identifiers and session tokens for the purposes of user authentication, session management, and push notifications.
- Payment and subscription status if you make an in-app purchase. This is processed securely via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Yabberoo app, including analysing conversation transcripts and usage patterns on an internal basis to enhance features and performance.
- To maintain your learning progress, session history, and vocabulary review scheduling.
- To power the AI language learning features, including live voice chat and conversational memory.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send you transactional emails (e.g., account updates, password resets).
- To send marketing and promotional emails (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time).
3. AI Processing & Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party service providers for AI processing, data hosting, authentication, and payment management.
We transmit audio and text transcripts to third-party AI services to power live voice chats, generate transcripts, manage conversational memory, and format notifications. Our application data and user authentication are hosted and managed by a secure third-party cloud infrastructure provider. In-app purchases and subscription status are handled by a third-party payment management provider. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers necessary to operate our application, as described in Section 3. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, our business, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify affected users prior to any transfer of personal data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information, conversation transcripts, and AI memories for as long as your account remains active. Retaining this data allows us to deliver a continuous, personalised learning experience.
We periodically review the data we hold and will anonymise or delete data that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently erased as described in Section 6.
6. Data Deletion & Your Rights
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.
Account Deletion
If you choose to delete your account, we permanently erase all data associated with your account, including your profile, language progress, flashcards, session history, conversation transcripts, and agent memories.
How to Delete Your Data:
- You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the Yabberoo App settings.
- Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] to request account deletion or to exercise your privacy rights.
7. Children’s Privacy
Yabberoo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. 8. International Data Transfers
Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to, and maintained on, servers located outside of your state, province, or country, including countries whose data protection laws may differ from your own. We take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the use of standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our website and updating the “Last Updated” date.
